EMBODY THE BODY-Embodied Grieving- May 2011 (National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Conference, San Antonio)
An intricate system of thoughts, sensations, emotions and memories our physical bodies are like maps, containing information about all of your life experience. When we experience loss, our bodies will often begin to speak, embodying pain and stress. The question is: how do we listen? In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn tools to help you draw awareness inward and distill the wisdom of your body, your experience and your grieving process. With the support of movement, meditation, and compassionate self-observation, we'll explore the relationship between what's happening in your body and what's happening in your life.
